About NEW Scholars
NEW Scholars is a college readiness program focused on enhancing reading, writing, and character development among low-income and would-be first generation college students. Beginning in middle school and continuing through high school, we help these students on their path to college through interactive, after-school programming and parent support.
The program encourages and provides opportunities for students who have a desire to be the first in their family to graduate from college, but lack the understanding and resources to attend. Through active participation and parental involvement, students can earn an incentive-based scholarship of up to $5,000 when they graduate from high school.
There is no cost for famliies to participate in the NEW Scholars college readiness program.
